1. What technology or trend are you most excited about for the future?
I think the most intriguing concept is deploying digital infrastructure and artificial intelligence within the Wisconsin state government to aid in the delivery of services and programs to citizens, especially for social safety nets. It has the potential to streamline processes, reduce manpower needed to carry out the programs and most importantly make them metric-based in terms of measuring successful outcomes for those citizens who rightfully need the help. If a non-profit had a success ratio of 90% placing homeless individuals versus a government organization placing only 40%, we should be rewarding the more effective organization and trying to replicate their success across Wisconsin where possible.
2. Favorite Wisconsin sports memory?
My favorite sports memory was back-to-back Rose Bowl victories for the 1998 and 1999 Wisconsin Badgers seasons. I went to both of them and will never forget those trips as well as the friends and family there with me to take it all in.
3. Advice you would give to your younger self?
Patience is a critical component to success. The more you embrace it in every aspect of life, the greater your success will be in all facets of life.
