Madison, Wis. — The Institute for Reforming Government has hired Quinton Klabon to be Senior Research Director to develop K-12 and higher education policy solutions for Wisconsin. He can be reached at [email protected].
Quinton worked for seven years at Saint Marcus Lutheran School in Milwaukee, one of Wisconsin’s only five-star schools serving low-income, Black students. He still actively mentors many Saint Marcus students and alumni.
His most recent job was education policy advisor to U.S. Congressman Mike Gallagher (R), where he was instrumental in designing Gallagher’s AEI-published plan, “Wisconsin 2030: The Education Path to Prosperity.”
Quinton is a proud Dartmouth College alumnus and Wisconsin Rapids native. He has a graduate degree from Harvard University, where he studied education policy under Professors Marty West and Paul Peterson.
“Coming off of a historic legislative session and unprecedented parental engagement across Wisconsin, there is so much momentum behind education reform,” said CJ Szafir, president of the Institute for Reforming Government. “Quinton is a massive addition to the Institute for Reforming Government and the Wisconsin education reform movement. His understanding of education policy – from St. Marcus to Congressman Gallagher’s office to academia – will help us ensure that every child in Wisconsin attends a high-quality school and reaches the college, technical college, or apprenticeship of their choice.”
