Madison, Wis. — Jim Bender, former president of School Choice Wisconsin, is partnering with the Institute for Reforming Government as its Government Affairs representative and will be working at the Capitol on behalf of IRG’s interests.
“We are thrilled to have Jim Bender join the IRG team,” said C.J. Szafir, president of IRG. “Jim’s background and expertise in education reform as president of School Choice Wisconsin combined with his relationships at the State Capitol will greatly help IRG advance conservative reforms around the state of Wisconsin.”

Jim Bender is the president of Bender Consulting where he focuses on education consulting and was the president of School Choice Wisconsin since 2011. Prior to that, Bender was the chief of staff and communications director for Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald for six years.
