A note from IRG CIO Director Anthony LoCoco:
- The Legislative Audit Bureau has released a new report showing a clear disconnect between the Department of Corrections central office and its front-line agents with respect to new “evidence-based” policies governing individuals convicted of crimes in the community on extended supervision.
- For example, a survey showed that 75.1% of responding agents believe that the consequences required by the policies for violations of supervision rules are “too lenient.” Further investigation is critical to ensure that DOC policies are adequately protecting the public. Find out more here.
