Courtney Gustafson

Courtney joined the IRG team as the Director of Outreach and Rural Coalitions in 2023 after traveling Wisconsin statewide in 2022 as Communications Director with gubernatorial candidate Kevin Nicholson and as Deputy Campaign Manager and Communications Director for Attorney General candidate Eric Toney. She was named Director of External Affairs in March 2024.

Prior to moving back to Wisconsin, she served for four years as a political appointee for President Trump at the White House in the Office of Presidential Personnel and at the Department of Energy in the Office of the Deputy Secretary.

During the 2016 election cycle, she worked at the political data firm, the Data Trust, after working on Governor Walker’s presidential campaign. Courtney earned her BA in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and currently resides in Fox Crossing.
