1. What is the number one challenge facing Wisconsin today and why?
I’d say the economy. So many hard-working Wisconsinites are living paycheck to paycheck due to out-of-control inflation impacting costs of basic things like groceries, a tank of gas or your electric bill. Shrinking economic opportunities due to bad decisions by government affect us all, but in particular impact seniors on fixed incomes and young adults just getting started in life. This leads into a secondary issue of growing our workforce and ensuring our state is keeping or attracting the next generation of workers to replace those retiring, not pushing folks to states like Tennessee or Florida. Wisconsin needs to be cutting taxes and instituting similar reforms to get us back on the path to prosperity.
2. What’s your favorite supper club in Wisconsin?
Love Lulabell’s Dockside on Lake Beulah in East Troy, WI. Great brandy old fashioneds and their Friday Fish Fry options are always a hit!
3. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Whether you’re a leader building a team or just looking for a quality friend group, surround yourself with individuals who have strengths you don’t. They help you succeed because they fill in where you may not be at your strongest and help you succeed, and you in turn invest in them so they find similar success.
